Who we are
UPA is a Not-For-Profit volunteer driven organisation. We are UK’s first and largest medical cannabis support group, founded by patients, for patients. We relentlessly advocate for anyone who can benefit from alternative cannabis-based treatments.
We drive change in political, legal, medical and local communities to address stigma, high cost and the inadequacy of the legal industry to respond to real patient need.
Our Origins
Founded by Clark French in 2011, after his MS diagnosis and his own search for effective symptom relief, the UPA was formed to fill a huge gap between medicine and the patients who needed it. We have made big strides since, but many patients still face barriers to access.
Our Mission
To increase access to a safe, affordable, quality and consistent supply of medical cannabis to anyone who could benefit from it.
No barriers will stand in our way, if we stand together.
