FAQs
Where does my donation go?
Your donation helps fund the core work of the United Patients Alliance (UPA), including:
Campaigning for better access to medical cannabis
Supporting patients and educating the public
Running events, creating resources, and building community
Covering essential operational costs that keep the organisation going
Every contribution helps us remain independent, active, and patient-focused.
How is UPA accountable to our members?
UPA is a membership-based organisation. We are accountable through:
Regular updates and open communication with members
Transparent decision-making and financial reporting
Opportunities for members to contribute to strategy and governance
An elected board that represents the interests of our patient community
Is UPA Not-For-Profit?
Yes. UPA is a not-for-profit organisation driven by volunteers. Any surplus income is reinvested into our mission to improve access, support patients, and drive policy change—never distributed as profit.
Is UPA independent?
Yes. UPA is fully independent. We are not affiliated with any political party or commercial interest and make all decisions based on what best serves patients. When we partner or communicate about supportive enterprises, we diligently check their business practises to ensure they are in the best interests of patients. All UPA team members are patients or allies themselves.
How can I get involved?
You can support UPA by:
Becoming a member or donating
Volunteering your time or skills
Sharing our campaigns and resources
Attending events or hosting your own patient-led initiatives
Every action helps build a stronger patient voice.
