About the Campaign
Grow Your Own is a UPA campaign focused on legalising home cultivation of cannabis for personal medical use.
Despite cannabis being legal for prescription in the UK since 2018, thousands of patients remain:
Priced out of private clinics
Denied NHS access
Criminalised for self-treatment
This campaign advocates for a compassionate model that allows patients to grow their own medicine safely and legally, under a regulated system that puts patients before profit.
Know the Law
Cannabis is classified as a Class B drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
Cultivation (even of a single plant) without a Home Office license is a criminal offence.
Medical cannabis is technically legal but extremely difficult to access.
UPA does not condone illegal activity. Our mission is to reform the law through public education and patient advocacy.
